Changes to physiotherapy sessions

Physiotherapy restarts on Monday 3 August, with an updated attendance process to ensure safety of staff and members.

Prior to attending, you are required to fill in an initial health declaration form, either online or paper. After that, a verbal health check will be made and your temperature taken before you enter the building.

When you arrive for your appointment, please remain in your vehicle or outside the back entrance until invited in by your therapist. When you have finished your treatment please leave the building by the back door immediately.

You are asked to wear a face mask at all times while you are in the Centre. If you cannot wear a face mask, please ring and tell Lynn or Miriam before you attend, so that staff can take additional steps to ensure their safety. This will involve the wearing of visors in addition to the standard PPE.

If you need to visit the toilets, you may enter through the fire door halfway down the building then return to wait outside; alternatively your therapist will direct you through the building from the physio area.

Individual treatments

Members will have been given appointment slots which may differ from their pre-covid day and time. This is because only 4 members can be in the treatment area at any time, to allow for safe distancing.

Each appointment lasts 50 minutes, to allow the treatment area and equipment to be cleaned between patients.

The therapists will have discussed and agreed with you what your treatment session will involve, based on your clinical needs.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during these difficult times.
