The quiz supper in the Pinner Village Hall on Saturday 25 April was an all round success.
Well fed on pizza, garlic bread, salad and coleslaw, washed down with various liquid refreshments from the inhouse bar, seven teams battled it out over 10 rounds.
Table 7 finished as the overall winner with 108 points, scoring an impressive 20/25 on the marathon round (do you know who invented the safety pin, bar code or adhesive tape?! Somebody on that team did).
Our thanks go to Mark Copplestone for setting the quiz, Mike Sleeman for acting as quizmaster, backed by Lynn and Ingrid as scorers, and to Carol Sutton for organising (and donating!) the pizzas.
And a special thanks go to Pizza Hut for providing the excellent pizzas and garlic bread at a discount, allowing us to raise an impressive £1,405 (£1,250 net).
