The Eastcote House Gardens picnic on 7 June raised not only funding but important awareness about our work.
People had come along to enjoy the different activities and stalls on offer, which included children’s races, mummers plays, vintage cars, plant stalls galore, tombola, and refreshments.
We were able to sell lots of the good quality bric-a-brac donated by our generous members. We enjoyed helping younger visitors win a lucky dip, while the ‘roll-a-ten-pence’ game challenged both young and old!
Proceeds from the day totalled £175, which for a modest outlay of £10 and a bit of our time and effort was well worth it.
Our thanks go to Gill, Trudi, Jane and Marion who turned out to help out on the day.
And thanks to the Friends of Eastcote House Gardens committee for allowing us to join the picnic. We hope to repeat the experience once their proposed building work has been completed. We wish them every success!
