Virtual events bring real profits

The race night and fundraising exercise machine demonstration at Tesco Borehamwood collectively raised nearly £900 for the Centre.

Despite a low attendance, the race night at Pinner Arms on Saturday 18 October was enjoyed by all (including a few local customers who joined in!).

The final winning horse had no owner, which meant the Centre benefited further as the £300 raised from sale of the competing horses was not claimed.

Together with the tote, the final tally was over £350.

The exercise machine demonstration at Tesco Borehamwood on Saturday 15 November let members of the public see the type of exercise some of our members undertake to keep themselves as fit and active as possible.

Shoppers were drawn to the action in front of the Christmas tree, which we joked was keeping the fairy lights sparkling!

They showed their appreciation of the cyclists’ efforts by putting their hands in their pockets. The final sum raised was almost £520.
