New deputy manager appointed

Our Trustees are delighted to announce the appointment of a new deputy manager, Miriam Franks.

Miriam Franks the new deputy manager

Miriam comes to us with a wealth of experience in the health and education fields. She trained as a nurse and health visitor and she worked for nine years at Barnet Health Authority. When her second daughter was born, Miriam took a short career break.

Then, as she herself explains:

“I started teaching first aid at a local further education college. Gradually, I started teaching more and more hours, and completed my teaching qualification. As my own children grew older I increased my hours and responsibilities. My teaching was mainly of 16–19-year-olds studying health and social care and childcare programmes. I left teaching last summer after being offered voluntary redundancy.

“I am so happy to be working here at Harrow MS Therapy Centre and feel very welcomed.”
