On Monday evening 10th June at 8pm, if you’d tuned into Harrow Community Radio (HCR), you will have heard our two Chairs chatting with Sarah Kersey, presenter of “All about the Happiness“, about multiple sclerosis, what people with MS in north-west London want, and how we at the Centre meet those needs.
During the half-hour interview, Jerry Ridout, Chair of Trustees, cleared up a misconception by stressing that we have no links to the MS Society and are entirely self-funding. He gave a brief but clear history of the Centre, a description of what MS is and how it affects people differently, while Gill O’Brien, Chair of the Fundraising Committee, talked about the various fundraising efforts put on by people to help raise the £220,000 needed each year to run the Centre.
Jeremy chose a couple of his favourite records and talked about how important the Centre is to people with MS, whether newly-diagnosed and seeking information and support, or those looking for therapy to help manage the symptoms of the condition.
