Recent Clothes Sale a Less Than Spectacular Success

Helpers sort and set out the various clothing and other items for sale

Despite the best efforts of donors and helpers who sorted, sized and tastefully displayed the wares, very few shoppers came through the doors of Ickenham Village Hall on Sunday afternoon to browse our second-hand clothes sale.

Those that did were impressed with the quality of the goods on offer and readily parted with their money (and enjoyed the provided refreshments too!).

Thanks to Centre staff members Helen and Paulette, who had sold several items at the “presale viewing” during the previous two days, we had already covered our costs, so were not too despondent with the total profit of £116.

Plans are already being made to sell the remaining goods (many of which are very good quality) by holding a follow-up sale at a different place and time. We welcome any input as to better venues and dates, so leave a comment below or get in touch with your suggestions.

As ever, our thanks go out to all who were involved in their various ways.
